The Chronicles of Narnia, how is that the Pevensie children became children again at the end of the movie?

At the end of the first Chronicles of Narnia, the Pevensie children in Narnia grew and became larger, but when he went back into their world, children became again. Why is this?

Yes, quite a while, going much faster in Narnia in the real world. That is evident from the beginning of the second film when they return to Narnia a year later and several hundred years have passed in Narnia since.
